Major modifications for 2027
Introduction – Substances of Abuse
- The wording was changed to clarify that the presence of metabolites for Substances of Abuse should be taken into consideration in the results management process when relevant.
Substances and methods prohibited at all times In- and Out-of-Competition
S0. Non-approved substances
- Many peptides, not approved for human use by regulatory authorities, fulfill the criteria of the World Anti-Doping Code for inclusion on the Prohibited List and fall under the S0 (Non-Approved Substances) class, or other classes (such as S2 or S4).
- Even if a peptide is not specifically named on the List, utmost caution should be taken as it may still be prohibited and may be harmful to health. In this regard, for clarity, peptides are now named as examples in this section.
S4. Hormone and Metabolic Modulators
- The title of section S4.2 was expanded to reflect current terminology for substances in this class.
- Imlunestrant was added as an example in section S4.2.
- Seladelpar was added as an example of PPAR-delta agonist.
- SLU-PP-332 and SLU-PP-915 were added as examples of metabolic modulators acting particularly on oxidative metabolism.
S5. Diuretics and Masking Agents
- Eplerenone and finerenone were added as examples.

S9. Glucocorticoids
- Vaginal administration was added as a permitted route.
