    Official and authorised social media accounts

    The accounts listed below are the official and authorised social media accounts operated by Sport Integrity Australia:

    This policy is in addition to any user policy or terms and conditions imposed by the relevant social media host (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube).

    Respectful communication

    We encourage open, respectful, and constructive discussion. When posting or commenting on our platforms, ensure you:

    • show courtesy and respect for others at all times
    • protect your personal privacy and that of others
    • do not share personal or sensitive information, including names, addresses, phone numbers or email addresses.

    Managing inappropriate behaviour

    We reserve the right to moderate, hide, or remove any content that does not comply with our policy. This includes comments that:

    • abuse, harass, bully, or threaten others
    • contain obscene, offensive, hateful, or discriminatory language or imagery
    • impersonate or falsely represent any other person or organisation
    • make incorrect or misleading statements or advice about a person, organisation, or government body
    • incite hatred or discrimination based on personal characteristics such as race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, disability, or age
    • include material that infringes the intellectual property rights of others
    • make excessive comments on a particular issue
    • promote commercial interests, petitions, or other unsolicited requests
    • contain spam or irrelevant/off-topic material
    • share misinformation, including unsubstantiated claims about Sport Integrity Australia, Australian sport, or government policy
    • identify matters subject to ongoing legal proceedings or breaches a court’s non-publication order.

    Moderation and enforcement

    Our social media accounts are monitored during business hours (Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm AEST) and are maintained as family-friendly, open forums for respectful and inclusive engagement. 

    We reserve the right to remove content that breaches this policy without notice. 

    Any user who persistently breaches this policy may be blocked from engaging with our accounts.

    We accept no legal liability whatsoever arising from, or connected to, the publication of any content; the failure to moderate any content (whether due to technical error or otherwise); or the use of, or reliance on, any content by a user.

    The appearance of external links, user content, or references does not constitute endorsement or support by Sport Integrity Australia. We are not responsible for the views of others, or for any advertising or links to other websites or social media channels.

    Privacy

    We may collect and handle any personal or sensitive information shared with us on our social media accounts in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
