Joint Standing Committee on Treaties Report – Sport Manipulation Treaty

The Australian Government has tabled its Response to the Joint Standing Committee on Treaties report into the Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions.

The Government Response is to Recommendations 2 and 3 of the report, as these recommendations relate to the Macolin Convention.

The Macolin Convention is a legal instrument and the only rule of international law to combat the manipulation of sports competitions.

Sport Integrity Australia is working with Government to ratify the Macolin Convention to promote national and international cooperation between governments and organisations involved in sports and sports betting.
