Last updated: 12 October 2026

Overview

Webinar held on Thursday 1 October 2026.

What makes young athletes feel safe, respected and included in sport?

Join Sport Integrity Australia for a youth-led conversation exploring the findings from the Hear Me Play: Youth perceptions of safety in sport report.

Alongside a safeguarding expert, this webinar examined:

  • what safety in sport looks and feels like from a young person's perspective
  • the factors that influence whether young people speak up when something feels wrong
  • the role adults play in creating safe and supportive sporting environments.

Hear directly from young athletes about what they need from coaches, parents, administrators and sporting organisations to help foster trust, belonging and positive sporting experiences for all.

Register for our upcoming webinars.

Speakers:

  • Kate, junior football player and national referee academy member
  • Bec, former national level high jumper and current netball pathways athlete
